Creating a Chatbot
Create AI-powered chatbots that answer questions from your knowledge base.
Create a New Chatbot
- From your dashboard, click "Create Chatbot"
- Fill in the chatbot details:
- Name - A descriptive name for your chatbot
- Description (optional) - What this chatbot is for
- Click "Create"
Chatbot States
After creation, your chatbot can be in different states:
| State | Description |
|---|---|
| Draft | Initial state, not yet deployed |
| Active | Deployed and accessible to users |
| Paused | Temporarily disabled |
| Archived | No longer active, preserved for reference |
What's Created
When you create a chatbot, WizChat sets up:
- A unique chatbot ID
- An empty knowledge base
- Default AI settings
- Default appearance settings
Next Steps
After creating your chatbot:
- Add documents - Upload content to your knowledge base
- Configure AI settings - Customize model and prompts
- Set appearance - Add your branding
- Deploy - Make it accessible to users

You can create multiple chatbots for different purposes - support, sales, documentation, etc.
