Creating a Chatbot

Create AI-powered chatbots that answer questions from your knowledge base.

Create a New Chatbot

  1. From your dashboard, click "Create Chatbot"
  2. Fill in the chatbot details:
    • Name - A descriptive name for your chatbot
    • Description (optional) - What this chatbot is for
  3. Click "Create"

Chatbot States

After creation, your chatbot can be in different states:

DraftInitial state, not yet deployed
ActiveDeployed and accessible to users
PausedTemporarily disabled
ArchivedNo longer active, preserved for reference

What's Created

When you create a chatbot, WizChat sets up:

  • A unique chatbot ID
  • An empty knowledge base
  • Default AI settings
  • Default appearance settings

Next Steps

After creating your chatbot:

  1. Add documents - Upload content to your knowledge base
  2. Configure AI settings - Customize model and prompts
  3. Set appearance - Add your branding
  4. Deploy - Make it accessible to users

You can create multiple chatbots for different purposes - support, sales, documentation, etc.
